Appointments

Routine Appointments

These are available to be booked in advance and are at 10 minute intervals. Double appointments are available for longer consultations.

We now offer routine appointments on Saturday mornings from 9am. These are pre-booked routine consultations for people who find it difficult to attend the surgery during normal opening hours.

Emergency Appointments

From 9.30am until 11am Monday to Friday 5 minute emergency appointments are available. These appointments can only be booked on the morning of the emergency. There are also a number of emergency appointments available in the afternoons which can be booked after 1pm.

PLEASE NOTE these appointments are for emergencies only. If the doctor feels that the consultation does not warrant an emergency appointment you may be asked to rebook as a routine appointment.

What is an EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT? Any condition that has occurred in the last 24 hours or that has quickly deteriorated in the last 24 hours and can not wait to be seen until the following day. If in doubt telephone the surgery to speak to a GP after 11.30am.

Should anyone arrive late for an appointment it is at the doctors or nurses discretion whether or not to see that person or ask them to re-book. If stuck in traffic or running late for some reason it is courteous to phone ahead to inform the surgery.

Cancelling Appointments

May we ask you to please cancel an appointment if you are unable to attend as we can always fill an appointment at short notice. Failure to attend appointments is a waste of a valuable NHS resource. The practice monitors frequent non-attenders regularly and in extreme cases we are able to request removal from our practice list of any patient who repeatedly fails to attend their appointment.
